FOR SEVERE MAXILLARY ATROPHY CASES

Avinent's subperiosteal titanium implants are fully customized and adapted to the basal bone of cases with severe maxillary atrophy that are not candidates for standard endosseous implant treatment. They are adjusted to the bone structure of each patient, anchoring in the areas of best bone quality, and allowing to passively attach a fixed dental rehabilitation to the connections of the structure.

Regeneration meshes

WITH CHARACTERISTICS THAT PROMOTE TISSUE CLOSURE

Titanium meshes have a customized design that adapts to the geometry of the defect, with high mechanical stability for space maintenance in guided bone regeneration treatments. The co-design process between the clinician and a team of biomedical engineers allows customizing the mesh pattern or designing an occlusal barrier that fully adapts to the bone defect, which avoids manual manipulation of the mesh during surgery, reducing surgical times and ensuring 100% compliance with treatment needs.

Panfacial fractures

WITH COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES FOR A DELICATE PROCESS

Panfacial fracture operations are highly complex, given the very delicate nature of the reconstructive process. One of the benefits of virtual planning is being able to study bone structure movements within those fractures. With virtual surgical movements, defects can be corrected and positioning splints designed to make a surgeon’s work easier. Fully personalised plates are designed based on the planning.

Orbit

FOR A PERFECT FIT

Using data taken from the patient’s CAT scan or .STL files, Avinent CMF can design an implant that fits perfectly to the orbit’s topographic characteristics, irrespective of the situation. This process enables the precise reconstruction of the defects, even when there are significant parietal fractures on both sides of the head. Using 3D models for designing the plate is essential. Particular focus is placed on the orbits and their complicated geometric forms.

Orthognathic surgery

A SURGICAL GUIDE FOR PROFESSIONALS

Studying surgical movements is very helpful in orthognathic surgery in order to predict the changes that the soft tissues will undergo. Through studying and preparing the virtual osteotomy, Avinent CMF obtains the exact direction of the cut to create a surgical guide that the dental professional will use to guide their operation. In addition to the surgical guides, ADH designs some intermediate and definitive splints to help the dental professional during the osteotomy.

Reconstructive surgery

METICULOUS PLANNING AND IMPLANT OPTION

Viewing the patient’s affected area in virtual 3D enables the Avinent CMF team to plan and meticulously design the operation. This is when the cutting guides for the operation are added, as part of process in which the surgeon reviews and approves every step via remote access. When the planning and design is complete, the surgeon receives a detailed report on every process specification for their approval. Reconstructive surgery with implants considers every potential variable for a reconstruction. A dental prosthesis is designed for each case, with subsequent planning of the implants that fit onto the fibula, before they are subsequently placed on the mandible.

Condyle - TMJ

PRECISION AS THE KEY TO SUCCESS

Avinent CMF uses 3D planning and design software that enables surgeons to observe movements beforehand and subsequently adapt the tissues for the best possible outcome. Prostheses need to fit perfectly and correctly with TMJ surgical corrections. The actions can be predicted and the risk minimised during pre-op with all the information obtained using ADH. TMJ reconstructions need to be millimetre perfect. This is why printing the plate and testing it in advance in the study model really helps to ensure that the operation is a functional success.
